Cellular Shades
Honeycomb cellular shades that insulate against Michigan winters and summer heat while softly filtering daylight.

Window shadings float soft fabric vanes between two sheer layers, so Sterling Heights homeowners can soften the light in a front living room without feeling on display. We bring Hunter Douglas Silhouette® samples to your home and install them free.

A window shading suspends soft fabric vanes between two sheer layers. Open the vanes and daylight comes through with a soft glow while you can still see outside; close them for privacy; raise the shading and it rolls up out of sight at the top of the window.
That works well for the big front picture windows found on so many Sterling Heights ranches and colonials. The living room stays bright and you can still see the street, but people passing by see much less of the room. Shadings also take the harshness out of afternoon sun on a west-facing window and look soft and finished from inside and out.
As a Hunter Douglas authorized dealer, we carry Silhouette® window shadings in a range of fabrics, colors and vane sizes, with PowerView® motorization available. Very wide picture windows can be covered with more than one shading so each section is easy to run, and we install everything with our own team.

Shadings roll up compactly above big panes of glass.
Tilt for privacy; ask about room-darkening versions.
Diffused light that is easier on the eyes than direct sun.
What window shadings do for a room.
Sheer layers soften harsh sun into an even glow.
Tilt the vanes partly closed for privacy while still seeing out.
Fabric layers help protect furnishings from fading.
PowerView® lets you control shadings by remote, app or schedule.
Window shadings can be operated manually, with a control that raises the shading and tilts the vanes, or motorized with Hunter Douglas PowerView®. Motorization is especially useful on tall or wide windows and lets you set schedules that open shadings in the morning and close them at night. We install and program motorized shadings for you.
Because shadings are made of delicate fabrics, care is gentle: dust lightly with a feather duster or a vacuum on low with a brush attachment, and follow the Hunter Douglas care instructions for spot cleaning.
